Phantom Blenny – Atrosalarias fuscus

Overview:
The Phantom Blenny is a small, hardy marine fish featuring a dark, stealthy body that blends beautifully into reef environments. Active and peaceful, it is an excellent algae grazer, making it both functional and visually appealing in community tanks.

Origin:
Native to the Indo-Pacific region, including Indonesia, the Philippines, and northern Australia.

Feeding:
Omnivorous — thrives on algae-based foods, high-quality marine flakes or pellets, frozen mysis and brine shrimp, and finely chopped seafood. Regular grazing helps maintain both the fish’s health and aquarium cleanliness.

Tank Mates:
Ideal for peaceful reef and community tanks, compatible with gobies, clownfish, damselfish, and other non-aggressive species.

Aggression:
Very peaceful, though may defend small crevice spaces if housed with other blennies.

Experience Level:
Suitable for beginner to intermediate aquarists, due to its hardy nature and easy care requirements.
