Overview:
The Hi Fin Nano Goby is a tiny, reef-dwelling goby celebrated for its elongated dorsal fin and delicate body, often perching gracefully on coral or rock crevices. Its unique silhouette and subtle coloration make it a standout in nano and reef aquariums.
Origin:
Native to the Indo-Pacific, commonly found in coral-rich lagoon and reef environments, where it prefers to stay close to shelter.
Feeding:
Carnivorous – feeds on small invertebrates, plankton, and micro-crustaceans. In aquariums, it readily accepts frozen mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, finely chopped seafood, and high-quality micro-pellets. Multiple small feedings per day are ideal.
Tank Mates:
Peaceful and reef-safe, suitable for nano and larger reef setups with other small, non-aggressive fish. Avoid large or aggressive species that may outcompete or stress it.
Aggression:
Low. Non-territorial and generally peaceful, though it may hover close to its preferred perch.
Experience Level:
Intermediate. Requires a well-established reef tank with live coral or rock for perching and protection.
