Origin
Native to the Caribbean and Western Atlantic, Astraea phoebia inhabits rocky reef areas and coral rubble zones, where it grazes constantly on microalgae and biofilm.
Feeding
Primarily herbivorous, feeding on film algae, diatoms, and green microalgae. Supplement its diet with dried seaweed or algae wafers if natural algae is scarce.

Completely reef-safe and peaceful. Excellent companion for other snails, shrimp, and reef-safe fish. Avoid predatory species such as certain wrasses, triggers, and puffers.
