Overview:
The Clove Green Star Coral Polyp is a graceful soft coral featuring delicate, feathery polyps that resemble tiny flowers when fully extended. Its gentle swaying motion and bright green hues make it a beautiful, eye-catching addition to reef aquariums.
Origin:
Native to the Indo-Pacific, often found encrusting rubble, rocks, or sandy reef zones.
Feeding:
Photosynthetic, gaining most of its nutrition from symbiotic zooxanthellae. Benefits from supplemental feedings of phytoplankton, marine snow, or other liquid coral foods to enhance growth and coloration.
Tank Mates:
Reef-safe. Compatible with peaceful fish and invertebrates. Should be placed away from aggressive or stinging corals that may damage its delicate polyps.
Aggression:
Non-aggressive. Grows moderately fast but is less invasive compared to Pachyclavularia species (Green Star Polyps).
Experience Level:
Beginner to intermediate. Hardy and adaptable, suitable for most reef tanks. Prefers moderate lighting, moderate water flow, and stable water parameters.
