Description
Bush Soft Coral Pink (Scleronephthya sp.)
Overview:
The Bush Soft Coral Pink is a stunning non-photosynthetic soft coral with vibrant pink, densely branched polyps that create a bushy, tree-like appearance. Its bright color and flowing movement make it a visually striking addition to advanced reef aquariums.
Origin:
Native to the Indo-Pacific, often found in shaded reef slopes or areas with moderate to strong water flow.
Feeding:
This is a non-photosynthetic (NPS) coral. It requires regular targeted feeding of phytoplankton, rotifers, marine snow, or other fine particulate foods. Proper water flow is essential to deliver food effectively to all polyps.
Tank Mates:
Reef-safe. Best housed with peaceful fish and invertebrates that won’t disturb its delicate branches. Should be placed away from aggressive or stinging corals.
Aggression:
Non-aggressive, but sensitive. Does not sting, and its main challenge is maintaining consistent feeding and water quality.
Experience Level:
Advanced. Ideal for experienced aquarists prepared to provide frequent feedings and maintain stable water conditions.
