Description
Cultured Finger Soft Coral Cauliflower (Cladiella sp.)
Overview:
The Cultured Cauliflower Finger Soft Coral is a hardy and fast-growing leather coral, featuring thick, finger-like branches with a cauliflower-like surface covered in tiny polyps. Its compact, bushy growth form adds both structure and gentle movement to reef aquariums, making it a beautiful and functional addition. Being aquacultured, this coral is more sustainable, adaptable, and well-suited for captive environments.
Origin:
Aquacultured from Indo-Pacific broodstock, ensuring hardiness and reduced impact on natural reefs.
Feeding:
Photosynthetic, sustained by symbiotic zooxanthellae. While not dependent on feeding, it can benefit from supplemental phytoplankton, marine snow, or micro-sized coral foods to promote growth and vitality.
Tank Mates:
Reef-safe and compatible with peaceful fish and invertebrates. Should be placed with some space between other corals, as leather corals may compete chemically.
Aggression:
Moderate. Does not sting, but may release allelopathic compounds. Good water movement and activated carbon help minimize effects.
Experience Level:
Beginner-friendly. Very hardy and well-suited for aquarists of all levels. Thrives in moderate lighting, moderate to strong flow, and stable reef conditions.
