Description

Overview:
The Spikey Starfish is a striking echinoderm recognized for its knobby, spiked arms and bold coloration. Hardy and unusual, it brings both function and visual appeal to larger marine aquariums.

Feeding:
Omnivorous scavenger. Feeds on detritus, biofilm, sponges, and small invertebrates. May require supplemental feeding with chopped seafood, sinking pellets, or algae-based foods in captivity.

Aggression:
Non-aggressive, but opportunistic in its feeding.
