Description
Green Avatar Angelfish (Pterophyllum scalare)
Overview
The Green Avatar Angelfish is a stunning freshwater angelfish variant with striking greenish hues overlaying the classic silver body. Elegant and graceful, it adds vertical dimension and visual interest to community aquariums while exhibiting characteristic angelfish curiosity and personality.
Origin
Native to the Amazon Basin in South America, inhabiting slow-moving rivers, flooded forests, and densely vegetated floodplains. The “Green Avatar” is a selectively bred variant for the aquarium trade.

Aggression
Moderate. May show territorial behaviour, especially during breeding. Best kept in groups or pairs with adequate space and hiding spots.
