Origin:

Feeding:
Omnivorous and easy to care for. Accepts a wide range of foods, including high-quality flake or pellet food, along with vegetable matter and frozen or live foods such as bloodworms, daphnia, or brine shrimp. A varied diet enhances health and natural coloration.
Tank Mates:
Peaceful and best kept in groups of 5 or more to promote natural schooling and reduce stress. Compatible with other large, peaceful fish such as bala sharks, tinfoil barbs, rainbowfish, loaches, and large gouramis. Avoid small or delicate species that may be outcompeted or intimidated by their size and activity.
