Overview:
The Brittle Green Starfish is a striking brittle star with vibrant green arms and a compact central disc. Nocturnal and highly mobile, it is an intriguing scavenger that adds activity and color to established marine aquariums.
Origin:
Native to the Indo-Pacific, typically found on coral reefs and rocky substrates.
Feeding:
Omnivorous scavenger. Feeds on detritus, leftover food, and small invertebrates. Can be target-fed with chopped seafood, mysis shrimp, or sinking pellets.
Tank Mates:
Generally reef-safe with fish and corals. Avoid very small fish or shrimp if underfed, and predatory tank mates.
Aggression:
Peaceful when well-fed but opportunistic if hungry.
Experience Level:
Intermediate. Requires a mature aquarium with plenty of live rock, hiding places, and stable water conditions.
