The Caribbean Ricordea Green Mushroom Coral is a vibrant and hardy corallimorph, featuring bubble-like polyps in bright green hues. Its unique texture and flowing movement add dynamic color and interest to reef aquariums, making it a favorite for both beginner and advanced hobbyists.
Origin:
Native to the Caribbean, typically found on sandy or rubble substrates near coral reefs.
Feeding:
Primarily photosynthetic via symbiotic zooxanthellae. Benefits from supplemental feedings of phytoplankton, mysis shrimp, or other micro-sized coral foods to promote growth and enhance coloration.
Tank Mates:
Reef-safe. Compatible with peaceful fish and invertebrates. Should be placed away from aggressive corals that may sting or overshadow it.
Aggression:
Non-aggressive. Slow-spreading and generally does not overtake neighboring corals, making it easy to manage in mixed reef tanks.
