Overview:
The Kingi Angelfish is one of the rarest and most coveted marine angelfish, boasting a brilliant golden-yellow body accented with bold black markings. With its regal appearance and exclusivity, it is considered a true showpiece for elite marine aquariums.
Origin:
Endemic to the coastal waters of South Africa and Mozambique, where it inhabits rocky reefs.
Feeding:
Omnivorous — thrives on sponge-based angelfish formulas, marine algae, spirulina, mysis, brine shrimp, and finely chopped seafood.
Tank Mates:
Best kept with peaceful to moderately aggressive fish such as tangs, wrasses, and anthias. Should not be housed with other large angelfish unless in a very large system.
Aggression:
Semi-aggressive — generally peaceful but may show territoriality toward similar species.
Experience Level:
Recommended only for advanced to expert aquarists, requiring pristine water conditions, a mature system, and a carefully managed diet.
