Overview:
The Sunface Damsel is a small, hardy, and colorful reef fish, displaying a soft lavender to pale yellow body with a bright yellow face and dorsal highlights. Its peaceful nature (for a damsel) and compact size make it a great choice for reef aquariums.
Origin:
Native to the Indo-Pacific, especially around coral reefs and lagoons.
Feeding:
Omnivorous – readily eats marine flakes, pellets, frozen mysis, brine shrimp, and finely chopped seafood.
Tank Mates:
Generally peaceful compared to other damselfish. Suitable for reef aquariums and can be housed with other small community fish, invertebrates, and corals.
Aggression:
Low to moderate – less territorial than most damselfish, though it may defend its space if cramped.
