Overview:
The Blue Neon Goby is a small, vibrant reef fish known for its electric blue stripe running along its body. Peaceful and active, it is a popular cleaner fish that often removes parasites from tank mates, adding both utility and color to reef aquariums.
Origin:
Native to the Western Atlantic, including the Caribbean Sea, typically found on coral reefs and rocky substrates.
Feeding:
Omnivorous. Feeds on small crustaceans, detritus, and parasites. In aquariums, readily accepts brine shrimp, mysis shrimp, finely chopped seafood, and high-quality flake or pellet foods.
Tank Mates:
Peaceful and reef-safe. Compatible with small, non-aggressive fish and invertebrates. Avoid housing with large, aggressive species.
Aggression:
Non-aggressive; may defend its cleaning territory but poses no threat to other species.
Experience Level:
Beginner to intermediate. Hardy and adaptable, suitable for both established and mature reef tanks.
