Native to the Indo-Pacific, commonly found on coral reefs and lagoons from East Africa to the central Pacific.
Feeding:
Primarily herbivorous – thrives on marine algae, seaweed, and spirulina-based foods, supplemented occasionally with meaty foods like mysis shrimp to maintain health and vibrant coloration.
Tank Mates:
Best housed with peaceful to moderately semi-aggressive tank mates. Avoid very small or timid species to minimize stress and territorial conflicts.
Aggression:
Moderately territorial – may defend grazing or swimming areas, but generally compatible with other robust fish in a spacious aquarium.
